For the past couple weeks, Hillary Clinton has complained that Barack Obama hasn’t committed to enough debates. So why do I feel like tonight’s CNN debate was the 6,000th time I’ve seen the two of them sitting next to each other on stage?

I wouldn’t be nearly as annoyed if they were saying anything new. But I popped popcorn for nothing tonight. I’ve heard every word that came out of their mouths tonight. Well, I hadn’t heard Hillary’s “Xerox” line, but I’d heard the sentiment.

That leads me to my one political revelation from this debate. TV pundits hate it when candidates talk trash. They hated Hillary’s “Xerox” line tonight. They hated Barack’s “you’re nice enough” shot at Hillary at an earlier debate. But even though the crowd booed her tonight and the pundits killed him last time, I enjoy a bit of competitive smack-talk from my politicians. (more…)

We get worked up when grown men shoot up steroids to throw a ball harder, or run a little faster. But in Japan, the case of a dead sumo trainee is making our little sports scandal look about as important as a game of pick-up sticks. (more…)

I am formally lodging a complaint. I complain that it is nearly impossible to have a life of leisure without having been born into money, marrying money, being European, inventing something, or being able to possess nothing and squat in a ram-shackled tear down. I think this stinks. What about the little people? We like leisure too.

On my lunch hours, I typically run errands or go to my private members only Sam’s Club and walk around and eat free samples. Granted this isn’t a cool use of my time or anything, but I find endless enjoyment in this afternoon oasis where I am re-released into the free world to do as I please.

On one of these recent outings, I was walking around Kroger, strolling casually up the soup aisle, when I came across the most intriguing soup flavor ever. COCK FLAVORED SOUP! And better yet, it is the spicy variety. (more…)

On Tuesday, I linked you to a case of police brutality. This morning I ran across something far worse. The murder of Natasha Hall.

The 17-year-old was involved in an abusive relationship with a guy a couple years older than her. But this wasn’t a case of a young woman too intimidated to ask for help. Her and her family had repeatedly begged police to intervene. (more…)

I love Flavor Flav. I have to say that off the top because the rest of this is going to cast that sentiment into serious doubt.

How big a bought and paid for hooker do you have to be to go on TV and pretend like you love Flav? The man looks like a Gremlin that someone fed after midnight. (more…)

I’m not big on research. Blame it on a college history major that burned me out on digging through dusty primary sources on the Haitian and Cuban Revolutions.

I like Barack Obama in the Democratic Primary because I appreciate the scope of his goals over the practicality of Hillary Clinton. I would never spend time going through the Library of Congress web-site to uncover the legislative history that supports my opinion. Fortunately, one of the folks over at Daily Kos did that work for me. Maybe not me particularly, but she did the work and I appreciate it.
