Let me tell you a little horror story. At least for Democrats. Imagine that you have a Democratic nominee who is leading his Republican opponent in all the polls. Now imagine a man deciding to launch a third-party candidacy. Imagine that man were sure to draw off enough Democratic votes to hand the White House over to the GOP.

Oh hello Ralph, we were just talking about you. (more…)

These girls are pretty. Right? But are they pretty enough to inspire an entire plane full of people to despise them? That’s their story and they’re sticking to it.

The two University of South Florida students were traveling from Tampa to L.A. and because they were so pretty the airline had police escort them from the plane as soon as it landed. Oh and they say the airline banned them from its flights for life. Of course, the airline claims that the girls caused a disruption on the flight by shouting obscenities at another passenger. But of course they would say that.

We here at Chrisco Spins fully support these two innocent co-eds in their fight against this injustice. We’d like to launch an initiative aimed at securing basic human rights for the pretty. Why shouldn’t a pretty girl be able to fly without being harrassed by ugly people? And why shouldn’t a pretty girl be able to curse at other people every once in awhile. After all, she’s pretty. Duh.

I’ll grant you that a Muslim man doing the same thing would get shot by the air marshall, but we feel like that’s comparing apples to oranges. And why obscure the facts with the facts. That’s just silly.

The Justice Department just announced an indictment against Arizona Representative Rick Renzi. He’s charged with conspiracy, money laundering, extortion, and insurance fraud amongst other nuggets. For a complete rundown of his sins, check out Beyond Delay. Always nice to see a bad guy in power get his just desserts. Bravo to the DOJ for once.

We’re all pretty familiar with the omnipresent accusations that Wal-Mart treats its employees poorly. And that’s in the United States where we at least pay lip-service to the idea of workers’ rights. Travel abroad and you get a true sense of the cynical attitudes at the heart of the company.

Here’s an example from Mexico. South of the border, Wal-Mart is now in the micro-lending game. In Mexico, that essentially means Wal-Mart has opened a loan-sharking operation. (more…)
